Black Coyote Wine Dinner at Sparks Steakhouse

Black Coyote Wine is great!

Mr. and Mrs. Trotman invited me to a wonderful dinner highlighting Black Coyote wines.  It took place at Sparks Steakhouse on the east side, where "Gambino crime family boss Paul Castellano and underboss Thomas Bilotti were gunned down near its entrance in 1985," (Wikipedia).  It is now considered to be the best steakhouse in Manhattan.

Here are some pics from the great event!

The largest filet mignon I've ever seen.  ...Didn't know cows came this large...  O_o

Grandpas in Speedos

Churros are good.  Chocolate is good.  ...And just as you'd expect, Churros + Chocolate = Really Good.

One of the notorious desserts in Spain is just that...churros with really thick (I'm talking Burdick's-Hot-Chocolate-super-thick) hot chocolate.  You proceed to dip and eat, and it's great.  People sit around at outside tables at all times of the day munching away on churros + chocolate.  It's great.

Mmmm...

Churros and Chocolate

It's good.  Really good.

Turkish Baklava and How to Afford to Eat as a Pianist (i.e. "Eating Money")

Piano is a really lousy way to make money.

In the future, I'll probably do some extended posts on the subject...from how my take-home pay from a week of travel and work (not counting the months-to-years of preparation that is required to prepare for a concert) is less than what most people make in a typical 8-hour day...to how lousy it can make you feel that despite your hard work, many of your peers are off making six-figures.  :P

But for the sake of this post, let's keep it simple:

Piano is a really lousy way to make money.  ...And money is important for things like eating, which I tend to do daily.  ...And thus we have an issue.

So, how do I manage to eat daily?  Click "read more" for more:
