On the Road 8: Beverly Hills and Santa Barbara, CA!

The next part in the On the Road series is up, this time in sunny California!

I had a fantastic time exploring a bit of Beverly Hills, driving up the Malibu coast on the Pacific Coast Highway (PCH), and performing at the Music Academy of the West in Santa Barbara!  The weather was gorgeous, the scenery was gorgeous, and Hahn Hall where I performed was gorgeous too.

Take a look at more pictures after the break!

First of all, THANK YOU!

With the business of life, sometimes you just can't stop and thank the people who matter.  You matter.  Thank you.

Coast-to-Coast: Rockefeller U, SubCulture, and Tacoma Symphony

Attention NYCers and Pacific Northwesters!

Concerts coming up soon on both coasts!

So I just had an awesome midday concert at Rockefeller University as part of the Tri-I Noon Concerts Series.  This series, arranged by the amazing John Gerlach, has presented literally hundreds of concerts over the past several years...every single week during the main concert season.  It's really quite crazy!

On the Road Again...

Hello internets!

I haven't been that great at uploading blogs lately, but hopefully that will change!  I have, however, been busy editing videos for you guys, particularly of my "On the Road with Charlie" series, where I am doing mini vlogs to take you along on my touring.

Most recently, I've uploaded OTRs of my trips to Cleveland, TN; Great Falls, MT; and Spartanburg, SC...be sure to check them out below, and also to subscribe to my YouTube channels.  There are lots more up, and more to come!

Day 40-41: International Falls, MN and Back to NYC!

Today was the final concert on my Winter Midwest Tour!

We drove two hours straight north to International Falls, MN, a small town right on the border of Canada.  The concert tonight was lots of fun...as was this entire tour, and also the one I did through the midwest this past October.

I've gotten to meet amazing people all over the country, visit places that I would have never otherwise gotten to see, and share music with kind audiences everywhere. :)

This tour, I gave 37 concerts and student outreaches (whew!) and have driven almost 8000 miles (combined with the 5500 miles from the last tour, making it a round-trip drive from NYC to Seoul)!

Tomorrow, I've got a 5.5 hour drive to do back to Minneapolis to catch at 12:30pm flight (which means I've got to leave at about 4:30am), and then transfer planes in Washington, D.C. before getting in to New York late tomorrow evening.

Now back to New York for some rest, and for the remainder of my 2013-2014 season, which will take me to Vancouver, Illinois, and Ohio. :)

Thank you for following along with me this whole trip, and please continue to follow me on my Facebook Page (FB.com/charliealbrightpianist) where I update very frequently, as well as my website (CharlieAlbright.com).  If you're on Twitter, please follow me there too! (@charliealbright)

Best Wishes,
Charlie
